What is this site about?
Starting on Sunday 3rd June 2007, I'm leaving my car on the drive and setting off on my pushbike on a 6 week journey round Britain; visiting 76 of the 203 branches of Samaritans on the way. To find out how, when and why please explore this site.

If you want to know more about it first, the links on the right hand side tell the story. The prologue explains where the idea came from, the months of planning and training (though not nearly enough of the latter), and some of problems encountered even before I started. Lots of people have and are helping to make this dream a reality; to find out who in particular then follow the section on the team. The itinerary sets out the plan of where I will be over the 6 weeks and the section on progress will keep a track of how the plan compares with the reality. There's other bits and bobs too.
